About Us

Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded at Richmond College (now the University of Richmond) on November 1, 1901, on the Cardinal Principles: Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love. Today, the fraternity has more than 290,000 lifetime members, including 15,000 undergraduates at over 250 chapters. Sigma Phi Epsilon is currently the largest college fraternity. You can read more about the national fraternity by visiting SigEp.org

Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) has much to be proud of at the University of Wyoming. Academically, the chapter membership has achieved a GPA  above the all-men’s average at UW every semester since being founded on campus. Furthermore, Sigma Phi Epsilon has consistently attained the top GPA amongst all fraternities on the UW campus.

Sigma Phi Epsilon members are encouraged to be very active on campus and within the Laramie community as a whole. SigEps consistently serve the student body by sitting on the ASUW Student Senate. SigEps also serve in many other leadership positions for other Recognized Student Organizations (RSO’s).

Nationally, in the last 15 years, more men have joined Sigma Phi Epsilon than any other fraternity.
